Hemp Protein Brownies

These brownies are beyond belief. Not only are they moist, juicy, tasty and a real healthy treat post workout, but they are also high in protein, loaded with good fats and also are a good clean source of carbs due to the sweet potato and healthy coconut flour. A real muscle-building treat. Just keep them closely guarded as otherwise they’ll be gone before you know it.

Hemp Protein Brownies Recipe:

Serving Size:

Makes 9 Brownies

Nutritional Data (Per Serving):

Protein – 7.2g | Carbs – 6.6g | Fat – 2.9g

1 small cooked sweet potato (boiled or roasted until soft) no need to peel!

½ Cup Hemp Protein (better than Whey in some recipes as Whey tends to dry out food)

3 Tablespoons Cocoa Powder

¼ cup Coconut Flour

1 ¼ cups Liquid Egg Whites

1 ½ cups Almond Milk

½ Teaspoon Bicarbonate of Soda (Baking Soda)

1 small courgette, grated

Hemp Protein Brownies

  1. Preheat Oven to 160°C.
  2. Using a Blender (or NutriBullet like I have), blend together all ingredients except for the courgette. Give it a taste and add Agave Nectar or Honey if you would like some additional sweetness.
  3. Press grated courgette into paper towel to drain all excess liquid (this is vital and you should try and get as much liquid out as possible). Then fold courgette into blended mixture.
  4. Pour mixture into a silicone brownie pan.
  5. Bake for an hour and 15 minutes, or until a knife inserted into the middle comes out clean.
  6. Once cooked, remove from the oven and leave to cool
  7. ENJOY!!!!
