Sleep Your Way To The Top

In the run up to the new year you’ll no doubt be witness to lots of motivational messages about having and doing it all in 2015, whipping people up into a manic frenzy, many feeling they need to run a PB marathon and learn to speak fluent Mandarin all before a breakfast meeting. It’s great to have goals but another reason why so many resolutions fail by mid January is due to over enthusiastic burn out, both mentally and physically. The best way to avoid this is getting enough sleep. Playing the long game, working hard with plenty of rest and more importantly, sleep, seems to be the key to getting ahead. Sure, we know sleep is important for repair between training sessions but there are many more benefits. Watch this fantastically informative and engaging TED talk, it’s well worth the 20 minute investment.
