Fred Perry

Perry defied the snobbery that existed around the game with his working class background, showmanship and celebrity like status off the court. His physique was honed and his style was sharp, he’d even change if going into a fourth set to feel fresh and confident. Fred Perry launched his clothing line in the late 40’s, he invented the sweat band and his classic polo shirts and wreath logo became synonymous with the game.
